Mada Gaming Connection

Two weeks ago Mada held up a gaming event for bloggers to try out their newest gaming connection. How were gonna test it you may ask and the answer is simply by competing online in Call Of Duty MW3 & Need For Speed The RUN.

Of course the connection speed may vary according to your residential area but in general it should deliver the best gaming connection with the lowest latency & ping possible, till now I’m not sure of the exact ping but I’m gonna update the post when Mada sends it to me.

My buddy Aziz is a COD addict which is not a big news for anyone who knows Aziz & usually during the weekend we play with the guys in dewaneya & I enjoy pissing him off when comparing score even if he is higher than me :p so its no surprise that he was competing in COD & I choose The RUN but during the event we had a chance to compete in both.

During my COD i didn’t experience any lag but in my Need For Speed I got disconnected twice & I got back online within seconds. In general the connection was great & the idea behind hosting a gaming competition for bloggers to test it out was so awesome especially coz Bensirri were the event organizers. Check our scores down below 🙂

@Mada_Kuwait ISDN Service Review

by Mohd in Internet, Tips

Mada have offered us an ISDN service to test and make use of their portable landline included in their package. We’ve received it since Ramadan and it might seem late to publish a review now but the past period was a torture testing period for their service. I wanted to make sure that internet service would be reliable in most residential areas in Kuwait. Since Mada is a wireless internet provider internet speed may vary according to the area, although they have their own coverage area table i just wanted to run my own tests. You may check it on their website Here coz the table down below represents my own testing results.

Mada ISDN service comes with a portable landline that could be so appropriate for small businesses, of course the landline works fine for receiving and making calls  so basically nothing to test other than call quality and as i mentioned before its fine. Now for the their internet service, one issue that may be annoying to some users that the router has to be near a window to get the best signal available in your area. Basically you have to run a speed test next to each window in your house to know exactly the best place for the router. Some times the best place for the router is not the best place for you but that is something you have to bare with especially when using a wireless internet provider. Due to my personal horrible experience with Fasttelco & QualityNet i began to favour wireless net providers (Zain,Viva & Mada) although it might not be as stable in connection speed but at least they have a qualified technical staff for support rather than Fasttelco who always claim that your house wiring is the problem or coz you use a Mac not windows, i could go on and on talking about how horrible their service is and their support. Dont get my wrong that im bashing them now coz of Mada but i couldnt help remembering their stupidity anyway back to our topic. Below you will find a table i gathered with the help of my friends testing the internet speed in various areas and the speed mentioned in the table is the average speed taken mostly 2 to 3 times a day, the main purpose of this table is just to get an idea on the connection speed. Since its a wireless provider speeds may vary also your house location versus their tower would have a huge effect of the speed you might experience so take it with a grain of salt dont totally rely on it coz each location in the same residential area may experience different speed.

Finally i would like to thank Mada for the ISDN service & of course my friends who helped alot in the making of this test (Thanks Guys 🙂 )

Kim Kardashian Go Away

Every social network  have been buzzing with tweets and posts about Kim coming to Kuwait. Am i the only one who doesnt understand why the hell people like Kim other than her big fat *** !!!

Her Big Fat A** is the only thing she is proud of and actually famous for. Before you start attacking me just take a minute to think what made Kim famous, is it her acting skills ? Is it her angelic voice ? Is it her intelligent mind ?

Steve Carell disapprove gif
Absolutely nothing other than the fact that she is the spoiled daughter of a billionaire that wanted to force her self into showbiz and become famous.

Rumor has it that she is coming to the opening of  Millions Of  Milkshakes in the avenues just like she did few months ago in Dubai and by the way for those of you who didnt try Millions Of Milkshakes in Dubai you gotta trust me when i tell you thats its totally worth missing.

Am i the only one who thinks that Kim Kardashian is a fat female who just wanna force people to think she is beautiful  by shaking her big fat ***?

248am & The Mystery Man From ISP

by Mohd in Internet

248am & The Mystery Man From ISP

Mark the owner of 248am got a chance to meet up with a mysterious guy who is related to ISP (to read his post click HERE ). I wanted to comment on Mark’s post but my comment will be long i figured out making a post to speak out my mind about the mysterious man & CAPS. Im gonna discuss the Mysterious man argument on why ISP all agreed on the CAPS.

First thing u all must know that while i was reading the post an image of a consperacy movie came into my mind, thinking of a man wearing a dark mask on his face just to cover his identity 😛

any way i wont go into details on the ISP and MOC relationship or whether if all the blame should fall upon the MOC for not upgrading their infrastructure, so lets start analyzing his words

So high demand and limited supply and add to that the price war that was taking place between the ISP’s and they all got to the point where they had a lot more subscribers than they and the MOC could supply bandwidth. The situation became critical and so for the first time ever, the ISP’s united and decided to increase and unify their prices during the last expo since the demand was was more than the supply. The ISP’s were hoping the increase in prices might also spark an outcry from the consumers which would in return put pressure on the MOC but that didn’t happen.

The mysterious man is justifying that the ISP increased their prices in order to satisfy the High demand & generate an outcry from the customers to increase the bandwidth!!!!!!!!!!!

ISP could not satisfy the high demand and supply the customer service needed so they increased their prices to spark an outcry from the customers thats what i call nonsense and irrelevant they could have just rejected the extra number of subscribers since they cant supply the intended service infact they took more money and more subscribers. hmmmmmmmmmm can any one make sense of this guy’s words !!!!!

Since nothing changed after the expo and the ISP’s were still lacking bandwidth, they didn’t have a choice other than to set limits. The ISP’s came together for a second time and decided to place download caps on all their users and here we are today. The good news is that the caps resulted in an outcry that triggered the MOC to take action. I’ve also been told that both parties are currently in talks and it looks like everything is going to get fixed soon.

His second justification on the CAPS that they wanted to spark a mass outcry by the customers to the MOC to increase the bandwidth and renew their services because their first action collecting a huge bundle of money didnt go as they planed so they took another one !!!

Now i feel that this guy watched too many Mafia & conspiracy movies

what really made me MAD from the mysterious man that he is not making any sense and just justifying a GREEDY action taken by the ISP and believing that releasing a hidden statement and a consipiracy theory were the ISP r the unknown HEROS making the public move for a better service is what they have planned in the first place. If he didnt release a statement would be much BETTER than just reading a bunch of nonsense reasons and thinking they can underistemate the mind of  kuwaitis and thinking that they might fall for it.

Do u know who owns GulfNet, Quality, KEMS & FastTelco !!!!! search the net for the owners and when u read their names u will definitly know that if the owners wanted any thing ANY thing and im repeating again ANY thing from the MOC or any ministry they could have got it . Search the names and u will know what i mean 😉

Finally this post is intened to reply on the mysterious man statement or what ever u may call it & special thanks for Mark for giving us a chance to know how the ISP think of Kuwaiti minds.

I must disconnect now coz i already used my Limit for today

VIVA Breaking Speed Limits

VIVA has just launched their newest Internet package with an incredible speed reaching up to 42 Mbps, the fastest Internet available in Q8. Personally speaking I’ve been using their Internet package 17 KD for my iPad & never had a problem with the connection. I believe their newest package will be more that just great.
