iCloud a name many still don’t know how to use effectively since it debuted in 2011 in Apple’s Developers conference. Since its my first posts since i stopped I’ve decided to make things easy on many out there giving a really simple explaination on iCloud. iCloud is not an app or service by its own but rather an application suite its main use is to sync all of your iOS devices and Mac ( Photos, Mail, Contacts, Calendar, Reminders, Safari, Notes, Keychain ( saved Passwords) ) wirelessly though apple servers. For example No matter where you add a new Note you will find it on all of your iOS & Mac which have the same iCloud account which is basically your apple account.
Now how to setup iCloud on your devices, first if you own a Mac go to System Preferences, iCloud and insert your account and simply check the things you wanna sync through iCloud.
Now go to you iOS device (iPhone, iPad) into settings, iCloud and again do the same thing toggle the switch of the application data you wanna sync though all your apple devices.
Keep in mind that for each iCloud account you only get 5 GB on sync data no matter how many apple devices you own its 5GB if you need more storage especially for your photos i would recommend you upgrade.
Now that Apple finally revealed their newest iPhone most of you would wanna get one so check the video below to know how you may get an iPhone 5S for free.
Yesterday i got invited by Alzanki Enterprises & Cinescape to an exclusive screening for one of most anticipated movies in 2013. Ill keep this review simple but before I start I must mention that I was sitting near a popcorn chewing machine. I have never heard anyone chew so loudly in the movie theater not to mention laughing for no apparent reason, so I would like to send my regards to the chewing machine and thank him for the annoying sound effects during the movie.
Now back to the movie, its basically an assembly line of cut scenes of some of the best moments in the life of Steve Jobs without any depth, and without significance. Most people will be lost, there is not much continuity, and you are left at the end wondering why you came to the movie. You didn’t learn anything new about Jobs or even followed his life path, you are not sure what the point was, and yet you spent two painful hours trying to get something out of this movie. The soundtrack used in the movie seemed like a Country/Rock genre which in my opinion has nothing to do with the life nor the area Jobs lived in.
The movie ended so abruptly that you feel that the director ran out of film or exceeded the time limit he had. Personally I dont recommend anyone going to JOBS its a total disappointment to all the Apple fans, Movie lover, and even Apple haters.
Announced a few hours ago in Blackberry Live that the famous BBM Messenger is gonna be across platform app which means that iPhone & Android users gonna be able to simply download BBM from their App Store.
It’s a bold move from Blackberry to gain more users back on BBM but My initial thought that they are slowly killing themselves coz other than security Blackberry had this unique feature which now can be available on iOS & Android.
Check out the latest commercial from Nokia trying to promote the Lumia 920 (Windows phone) while making fun of Samsung’s fan boys who most of them dont know that it runs Android :p and Apple’s addicts.
We have seen this kind of approach last year when all of Samsung’s commercial were about the iPhone & few years back when Apple made their PC VS Mac commercial series, could this kind of approach work for Nokia & Windowsphone ???
Its been a while since Blackberry z10 have been released and many having been having issues with migrating their contacts to the new Z10. What Im about to explain is not Z10 specific actually its the method i always use to keep my contacts synchronised across all my mobile phones which is pretty simple but unfortunately not explain much so no matter whether you are using a Blackberry, Android or iOS you may use this method to transfer your contacts between those platforms.
The first step you will need to do is to transfer all your contacts from your old phone to your PC or Mac using (iTunes, OutLook, Kies) depending on what you your old mobile is, its a bit of a hassle but trust it you wont have to suffer from it again.
Back on your PC open Outlook ( if you are using Windows) or Contacts application (if you are on a Mac) Go to File Export Contact vcf File. This option will export all your contacts in One file and please please try to remember where you are saving that file.
Now go to your email account, I prefer using an email account that you dont have Contacts already stored in it so you dont mix up your mobile contacts with email contacts. I would highly recommend using Gmail, OutLook or Live cause through my experience they work great with syncing. Go to your email account and choose the Contact tab and choose Import Contact , when promoted choose the file you have saved in the previous step.
Your contacts should be now saved on your email address and as you add your email to your new phone just choose to sync contacts & email
We have all been there, driving in own car stuck in traffic fed up with listening to music and maybe looking for something more informative to listen to and feed our mind while wasting those minutes. We waste precious minutes of our lives driving, waiting inline, waiting for a friend to arrive, many minutes through the day get wasted and the first thing anyone does to waste time especially when driving is to turn on their radio and start listening to some kind of horrible radio show no matter whether they like it or not and frankly between all the radio shows we have here in Kuwait I can only name a couple that really worth listening to, some are funny and some are just discussing whats going on in Q8 and the rest are cheesy horrible shows that should get banned. So what if you wanted to listen to a show talking about a specific topic that may intriguer your interest Technology, engineering, marketing or even just a video game show we dont really have this kind of shows, not to mention those horrible cheesy radio commercials that are all preformed by one guy who is always amazed and shocked by the latest offer from X company and the typical woman talking to her friend about X company offer. OMG those ads are so freaken horrible.
I know I went off topic with those ads but the solution that i was surprised many dont know is called Podcast, Podcast is a prerecorded radio shows inorder for you to get the latest news, reviews, general talk or even professional analysis of a certain topic some famous networks have their own podcasts like CNN, ESPN, Engadget, and many other. The purpose of a podcast is to feed your mind by listening to something that interests you or even entertains you in your own time you just download or even stream the episode to your mobile/laptop/iPod and listen to it whenever suits you. Ive been a podcast listener for 3 years now and Im so surprised that some dont even know what it is so i had to at least try to explain it in this post.
Many podcast apps are available in the Apple Store, Google Play Store & Blackberry World Store so to help you out and not make this post long I’ll mention my favorite Apps that I personally use and the same thing apply to all of them just open the app search for a certain topic that you like Football, Technology, Fashion or search for a certain network like CNN and add it to your list and listening.
My favorite apps PocketCasts available on iOS and Android & if you are using Blackberry Z10 try Nobex and AntennaPod.
Do you agree with me that most of our radio shows are just cheesy and not worth listening to ????
